Hi! Welcome back! In today’s post, I will be discussing updates about the parent awareness campaign I am running for XP League Frisco, my mentor’s company.
This past week in ISM was quite eventful as we recently had our Gallery Walk during the third period at school, where everyone set up their display boards and presented them to spectators as they passed by. Similarly, the next day, my mentor published the event on Eventbrite and Facebook Ads, making minor changes to the draft I pieced together.
The Gallery Walk was set up during the third period on an A-Day, where we stood by our presentation boards and essentially had a practice run-through of what our upcoming Research Showcase at UNT would be like, but on a smaller scale. The week before that consisted of finalizing and creating our display boards, including our name, quote, mission statement, details about our original work and final product, and details regarding our mentor.
My display board, although not very visually striking besides the title, I believe it was quite organized and simple and included everything I wanted to be included.
With only two more significant events in ISM left, one being the Research Showcase at UNT where the entire district’s class of ISM will convene, and of course, our Final Presentation Night at our respective high schools in April. With the overall ‘coursework’ of ISM slowing down now, I am able to focus my time more on my digital marketing internship and mentorship with my mentor, Mr. Saurabh Aggarwal, and I hope to learn even more about digital marketing and the general gist of operating a startup.
The campaign was published about five days ago and has reached 4.2k+ people, with seven days of the campaign still left before the event. 11 out of the 25 tickets have already been sold, and most of the traffic seems to be coming from direct sources and word of mouth. I will be creating the slide deck to be used by our guest speakers – the two parents I reached out to earlier – and will be meeting with them this Friday evening.
ISM has been an excellent opportunity, and I am glad I applied to participate in this wonderful program.
Thank you for reading! I hope to see you back next time.
