Hi! Welcome back! In today’s post, I will be discussing updates regarding my mentorship and how my final product is starting to progress.
This week in ISM has been quite busy with the ongoing original work speeches, completing my first research assessment catered toward the final product, and having my 7th mentor visit.
Considering that my final product is a digital marketing campaign, which I will be running through Eventbrite Ads (an online events platform) for an informational parent’s session on what youth esports is, I wanted to focus my research assessments on topics that would help me create a successful campaign. The first research assessment I did was focused on how to optimize your marketing strategies, specifically online, as well as ensuring you are on the right path by being able to answer at least three fundamental questions.
This was something I was able to better understand through my 7th mentor visit, as tomorrow, I will be contacting two parents to speak at the parents’ event and start creating the primary content for this campaign. Typically, as far as my knowledge of ISM goes, the final product spans over a few months. However, mine will be condensed into the span of 2 -3 weeks as my mentor would like the campaign to be up and running by this Friday (February 2nd). Mr. Aggarwal, my mentor, said that as a digital marketing intern, he would like me to facilitate the event and also possibly speak for a few minutes.
More than just running the campaign on Eventbrite Ads, I will be running the literal event, from booking the conference room to coordinating with the speakers, all while measuring the reach and leads – before and after running the campaign. I will also be doing this while simultaneously managing two other associates and keeping track of their individual campaigns.
ISM has been an excellent opportunity, and I am grateful to be able to intern under my mentor, as he is giving me the opportunity to learn and gain experience that will be useful in coming years.
Thank you for reading! I hope to see you back next time.
